Objective-type OMR/online test for 100 marks. Questions are in English and the test lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. The syllabus has 20 modules of 5 marks each.

Module 2 – Power Supply Circuitsപവർ സപ്ലൈ സർക്യൂട്ടുകൾ
5 marks- Semiconductors: intrinsic and extrinsic semiconductors
- PN junction diode: forward and reverse characteristics, specifications
- Special diodes: Zener diode, tunnel diode
- Rectifiers: half-wave, full-wave (bridge and centre-tapped)
- Filters: purpose of ripple filters, capacitor and inductor filters
- Voltage regulators: purpose, Zener regulator, series regulator

Module 3 – Transistor & Amplifiersട്രാൻസിസ്റ്ററും ആംപ്ലിഫയറുകളും
5 marks- Transistors: NPN and PNP, symbols, operation, input and output characteristics, biasing
- Transistor configurations: CB, CC, CE, current, voltage and power gain
